Biography: 

Pedro Leão Neto is an architect who lectures CAAD systems and Design Communication in the Faculty of Architecture of Porto University. He has an MA in Urban Environment Planning (University of Porto, 1997) and a PhD in Planning and Landscape (University of Manchester, 2002).

He has in the past conducted research focused on GIS and its use on intermediate scales for space analysis and decision making. He is presently engaged in research focused on the use of collaborative and E-Learning platforms for teaching CAAD in Architectural course and on the use of representation methods and computer technology in order to obtain an effective urban design communication and public participation..

He is the author of several didactic books related to CAD and has also published a book about GIS and its use for urban management.
